Georgetown Workday: A Community Effort to Keep Our Streets Clean
Georgetown residents came together in a dedicated Workday of Cleaning Curbs, showcasing the true spirit of community engagement and civic responsibility. With a collective goal of improving the town’s streets and maintaining a clean environment, a team of volunteers stepped up to lend their time and effort to this important initiative.
A Day of Hard Work and Community Bonding
On May 27, 2025, a group of committed individuals worked tirelessly to remove debris, clear storm drains, and scrub curbs, ensuring that Georgetown’s streets remained neat, accessible, and visually appealing. The dedicated volunteers included John McDaniel, Gerry Rauch, Mike Downing, Frank Vernon, Ann Holland, Keith Dudenhoeffer, and Gary Miller, all of whom contributed their energy and enthusiasm to make the day a success.
From sweeping away dirt buildup to scrubbing curbs to brighten sidewalks, every task was approached with teamwork and determination. As the morning progressed, the results became evident—cleaner curbs, improved drainage, and a visibly refreshed streetscape that benefited the entire community.
